Course DescriptionThe aim of this course is to prepare students to apply NATO nuclear surety requirements and procedures for NATO and custodial forces within Allied Command Operations.

Learning Objectives1. Nuclear Surety in ACO: Given references, the student will apply the Joint NATO/USEUCOM approach to nuclear surety in ACO in accordance with ACO Directive 80-6 Chapters 1-4 and DOD 520.41.M. 2. Nuclear Weapon Safety: Given references, the student will describe nuclear weapon safety characteristics and current safety programmes in accordance with ACO Directive 80-6 Chapters 1-4, DOD 520.41.M, and EUCOM CONPLAN 4367. 3. Weapon Security and Survivability Systems (WS3): Given references, the student will demonstrate the security and custody procedures associated with the WS3 in accordance with ACO Directive 80-6 Chapters 1-4 and DOD 520.41.M.
