Learning Objectives | 1. NATO Principles, Structure and Mission: Given references, students will be able to describe NATO principles, structure and mission. 2. Master Protocol Fundamentals: As part of a Protocol Team, the students will be able to apply "soft skills" required to work in an international organization. NATO and the skills required to work in a political military organzation 3. Cultural awareness: Global Communicationstyls and techniques. Students will be able to apply the soft skills required to work in an international organization. 4. Execute a NATO Conference: Given references, students will be able to apply the procedures and guidelins for all elements in execution of a NATO conference in accordance with NATO Strategic Commander's Guide to Protocol Chapter 5. 5. Conduct a hosted visit: Given references, students will be able to identify and apply commander's intent in hosting a VIP visit. 6. Execute ceremonies and special events: The students will be able to construct and perform specified NATO ceremonies and events in accordance with the Strategic Commander's Guide to Protocol Chapter 8. Flag etuquette will be explored. 7. Overlaps with coorinating bodies (Interpreters/Media/Security): Students will be able to apply coordinating requirements of interpreters, media and security at a NATO event. 8. International Organizations: Students will gain awareness of other international organization strutures (EU and UN) and how NATO relates to them. |
