Course DescriptionThe aim of this course is to prepare students to apply the manual operational procedures in the NATO CBRN warning and reporting system and to exercise them in the use of manual operational procedures.

Learning Objectives1. Functions and Responsibilities: Given references, the student will describe the areas, functions, and responsibilities of the Warning and Reporting System in accordance with ATP-45. 2. Meteorological Factors: Given references, the student will apply meteorological factors that influence a CBRN release in message reporting in accordance with ATP-45. 3. Chemical Hazard Prediction and Warning: Given references, the student will demonstrate chemical release hazard area prediction procedures for operations on land in accordance with ATP-45. 4. Biological Hazard Prediction and Warning: Given references, the student will demonstrate biological release hazard area prediction procedures in accordance with ATP-45. 5. Radiological Hazard Prediction and Warning: Given references, the student will demonstrate radiological release hazard area prediction procedures in accordance with ATP-45. 6. Nuclear Hazard Prediction and Warning: Given references, the student will demonstrate nuclear detonation and fallout hazard area prediction procedures in accordance with ATP-45. 7. Automated Data Processing Systems: Given references, the student will explain the capabilities, advantages, and operational benefits of current NATO automated data processing systems in accordance with the appropriate software manuals.
